Sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation, Reading Buddies is a program of BoulderReads! for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade who struggle with reading. The children are each matched one-to-one to their own big buddy who will meet with them weekly for 13 weeks. The big buddies are all CU students who receive college service learning credit for the time they spend working with their little buddies, and are trained by BoulderReads! to read aloud to their little buddies and help them identify their own tastes in reading. This great program is made possible by a grant from the Boulder Library Foundation, as well as by in-kind donations from the University of Colorado and CU students.
