Our Read to the Dog Program has a new name! Sign up in advance to read with a licensed therapy dog. This is a great opportunity for beginning, struggling, and even advanced readers to practice their reading skills in a safe non-judgmental environment. Every second Tuesday from 3:30-4:30. Earn volunteer hours and give back to the community by pairing up with K-3 children for reading and literacy activities. Spring sessions run on Tuesdays or Saturdays 4:30-5:30, February 3rd through April 18th. No sessions during Spring Break.
Reading Buddies from BoulderReads provides reading enrichment and fun literacy activities for children in elementary school. Little Buddies are matched with CU students who become their big buddies over the course of a semester. Registration is required.
Crawlers and beginning toddlers (9-24 months) explore language and books with their caregivers in a fun and intimate setting. Programs include rhymes, songs and books as well as time for free play and informal discussion of early childhood development. Attendance limited to crawlers and beginning toddlers up to 24 months of age; no older children please.
A 40 minute storytime to engage children with read-alouds, songs, action rhymes, finger play and more! Together we will learn sounds, letter recognition, new words and a love of books. Younger siblings are welcome.
